That slows down the reading speed, and can cause story confusion.” Good grief, you would not believe how many of these I catch when I edit. I’m not immune to misplacing a few commas, but the basic ones are easy enough and yet so many writers seem to have no clue. It makes me wonder if schools are teaching punctuation anymore. Either that or students are too busy texting under their desk to pay attention. |
